Love❤️Byte were born in a haze of fuzz pedals, cheap booze, and late-night jamming back in 2019—courtesy of founder members Steve Dore, Brendon McKenzie, Scott Chrystal, and Clive Butler. What started as a miss-spent Saturday afternoon experiment spiraled into something far bigger (and weirder) than we maybe expected.
The band’s spirit is bittersweet—anchored by the legendary Steve and Scotty, who we sadly lost in 2024 and 2022. Their fingerprints are on every beat, loop, and chorus. Steve, in particular, had the rare gift of taking Clive’s mushroom-fueled lyrical ramblings and crafting them into full-blown indietronica anthems.

Now powered by lead guitarist Jimbo, the smooth vocal soul of Ossie B, and exciting new talent Annabel Moore, the band continues to evolve. Helping shape the next phase is Simon Jackman—an audio wizard with “unbelievable ears,” as Steve himself put it.
