Kiwi songstress LOVETA is an old soul with a new flavour - here to bring you an energy reminiscent of past-meets-present. LOVETA (Lauren Marshall) has already proven herself as a natural-born creative, having spent over a decade of her career working worldwide as a multi-disciplined professional performing artist and musician. This extensive experience has allowed Lauren to carefully craft her unique style of musical artistry, and bring LOVETA to life.
Heavily influenced by the 60’s, 70’s, and today, LOVETA takes inspiration from top-tier artists such as Dua Lipa, RAYE, Zara Larsson, and YEBBA - and combines a commanding stage presence with the impressive vocal skills to match the greats. LOVETA skilfully mixes disco and funk with modern electro-pop, R&B, and rock elements to deliver a fresh and exciting take on classic sounds. The success of her debut 2022 EP ‘More Than Fun’ featured popular singles 'More Than Fun', 'Drive', 'Nostalgia', and 'All We Got', and gained ample press support in NZ and overseas, radio play, and multiple placements on the Official NZ Music Chart.
2025 is already proving to be a big year for LOVETA, having performed at New Zealand’s biggest summer music festival, ‘Electric Avenue’, as well as opening for the legendary Dionne Warwick on her worldwide tour. With new music and upcoming live shows on the horizon, LOVETA is officially a rising star in the New Zealand pop scene, and definitely one to watch.
