Kie also known as Lowki, is a South London born songwriter currently residing in Amsterdam. A versatile artist with ability to mix chilled Hip-Hop with smooth vocals and poetry.
Coming from the same area that gave birth to the the likes of Stormzy, Jords and the emphatic duo Krept and Konan, Lowki has used his experience of living in London to shape his music and also help him make sense of his own world.
His debut EP “I Wrote a Song about You Last Night” released in October 2015, received positive reviews from music blogs leading to interviews and songs from the project being featuring on radio stations such as: BBC 1Xtra, Reprezent Radio & Pulse88.
Since then, Lowki continued to progress as an artist through developing and experimenting with his sound. His most recent work draws influence from his West Indian heritage as he merges his Reggae/Dancehall roots and smooth R&B vocals with the contemporary sound of Afro-Swing. His song “Ashanti” was selected by Apple Music in the summer and spent 8 weeks in their Afro-Bashment playlist 2017.
Having taken time out as he made the transition to Amsterdam from London, Lowki released his latest body of work ‘Free Lowki’.
