Lucio Corsi is a singer-songwriter from Tuscany, Italy, known for his poetic lyrics and distinctive visual storytelling. Blending folk, glam rock, and pop, his music is paired with cinematic videos and artwork featuring paintings by his mother.
After playing guitar in local bands, Lucio moved to Milan in the 2010s to start his solo career. He released his first EPs, Altalena Boy / Vetulonia Dakar, in 2015, followed by his 2017 debut album Bestiario musicale, inspired by the animals of his homeland. His later albums, Cosa Faremo Da Grandi? (2020) and La Gente che Sogna (2023), released under Sugar Music, expanded his audience and led to extensive touring, including opening for The Who.
In 2024, he released Tu sei il mattino, with actor Carlo Verdone appearing in the video. The song was also featured in Verdone’s Paramount+ TV series Vita da Carlo, where Lucio played himself.
In 2025, he rose to national fame at the Sanremo Music Festival with the song Volevo essere un duro (“I wanted to be a tough guy”), placing second and winning the Mia Martini Critics’ Award. His duet of “Nel Blu, dipinto di Blu” with Topo Gigio became a festival highlight.
Following Sanremo, his tour sold out in days, and after releasing his new album Volevo essere un duro in March, Lucio is now preparing to represent Italy at Eurovision 2025 in Switzerland.
