Formed by Gordon Grahame (The Lost Soul Band) and Ben Townsend (CHUNGKING), Lucky Jim came together after both had weathered the ups and downs of the music industry. A chance meeting in Brighton sparked an immediate connection, leading to their debut album Our Troubles End Tonight.
Their music blends timeless songwriting with rich, emotional arrangements—drawing echoes of Neil Young, Leonard Cohen, and Van Morrison, yet remaining distinctly their own. With themes of love, loss, and life’s bittersweet turns, Lucky Jim create songs that are both intimate and expansive.
They released their critically acclaimed first album in 2003 and followed it up in swift succession with " All The Kings Horses" & "Let It Come".
In the years since those albums release, the songs continue to gain a loyal fanbase amongst music fans and critics alike.
