Luis Magalhães is a Portuguese concert pianist known for his expressive depth, crystalline touch, and dynamic artistry. A Yamaha International Artist, he has performed across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas, captivating audiences with a repertoire that spans Classical and Romantic masterpieces to bold contemporary works. His acclaimed 2025 solo album—featuring Schubert, Beethoven, Mozart, and Brahms—was praised for its poetic insight and virtuosic clarity.

Equally celebrated in chamber music, Luis has collaborated with world-renowned musicians such as Clara-Jumi Kang, Torleif Thedéen, Claudio Bohórquez, and Priya Mitchell. His discography includes award-winning recordings of Beethoven’s complete Cello Sonatas and the Mendelssohn Violin Sonatas, described by critics as “jaw-dropping excellence” and “a perfect balance of clarity and warmth.”

Luis is also the co-founder and Artistic Director of Catalyst.Music, a new digital-first classical label. His mission: to empower artists and reimagine classical music for the streaming era.
