Luiz Esteves (1954-2023) was an independent , innovative and prolific musician and a member of <a href="spotify:artist:3WhyJLDPXUVkLyUJ0A4GIl" data-name="Leyline">Leyline</a>. In 2000, his son <a href="spotify:artist:074kneiuMqDtoHZ4Ss0hzF" data-name="Gabriel Esteves">Gabriel Esteves</a> and him founded Leyline .
Apart from his musical work with <a href="spotify:artist:3WhyJLDPXUVkLyUJ0A4GIl" data-name="Leyline">Leyline</a>, he had his own solo project and has released 14 albums and 4 singles.
His final solo album, Silent Chains, was completed before his passing and was released posthumously on January 5th, 2024, the date of his birthday, as per his wish. Luiz passed away on November, 26th, 2023, and Gabriel ensured the album's release.
