Alexi Gonzalez or $lusheeyy as he calls himself was born in El Salvador and raised in Canada. Coming from a Latino Family of musicians. His mom was a singer of a small local group and his dad was a drummer for the band. He grew up with the sounds of music and noise around him. By age 11 he started taking singing lessons and preforming at school talent shows to improve his confidence and stage presence. He takes pride mixing the sounds of Hip Hop and R&B with pop synths and beats. He started releasing his own music in 2020 during lockdown and gained some attention for his lyrics and ear for catchy pop hooks. Practicing his vocals everyday and making most of his songs by freestyling he learned to write stories and songs about his personal life or his peers to appeal to a bigger audience and connect with people all over the world.

Taking big inspiration from the likes of Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande & The Weeknd. He continues to work on his music daily throughout his schooling years and social life. His biggest songs to date are his 2023 song "She's missing him" with over 85,000+ streams in 3 months and 2022 Smash hit "@ midnight" with over 65,000+ streams in 6 months. $lusheeyy continues to work hard to create music that is pleasing to the ears while creating stories that are universally accessible
