Do you know the feeling when someone puts exactly what is going on in your mind into words? And you feel this deep gratitude, because you were not able to do it yourself?
That is exactly what you can see in the eyes of visitors at Lyssop’s concerts. Their music visibly absorbs them. You can sense that every riff, every drum stroke, every shout and every clean sung note comes from the place where emotions ripen until they are finally allowed to come to the surface.
The poetic lyrics won't let you go for a long time. This is due to the harmony between rough and melodic on the one hand and the uncluttered, melancholic sound on the other. They underline the spoken and shouted words and give each song a different, unique character.
The sound of Lyssop is mainly inspired by bands of the post-hardcore scene, like Alexisonfire, Movements, Alazka and Casey, but also influenced by various musical genres such as indie, post-rock, punk or alternative.
The band from Nuremberg, founded in 2017, has already played several shows in the local area and has made a name for itself in the scene. It was also able to show it’s calmer side at some acoustic sessions, e.g., with Radio Z or at the B-side sessions.
