Like microplastic but bigger, Macroplastic is the result of Tuisku Hillilä (synthesizers), Esko Karvinen (synthesizers) and Aleksi Nurmi (drums) setting about to collaboratively create eclectic electronic music in early 2021.
Drawing from their shared musical past in the free-form synthesizer duo <a href="spotify:artist:2q92hjbI2cdkfjmYr4cyyb" data-name="Utra">Utra</a>, Esko and Tuisku were driven to explore a more rhythmic and composed dimension of synthesizer music, sparking a series of try-out sessions with Aleksi. The trio quickly found a common ground and started crafting their unique electronic sound with lengthy jam sessions.
Their debut album "Pure Multicolor Nonsense" was released in January 2024. From the subtle ambient flickers and jazzy undertones to the cosmic allure of progressive space rock and the pungent energy of bristly nu metal, Macroplastic's music is an oozing blend of moods and influences that invites you to immerse.
