Raised in Memphis, TN, Mad Welsley melds Pop and R&B together to create a sound that Earmilk and Wonderland Magazine have described as “genre-defying”. After moving to Nashville, Welsley started the band Stealing Oceans in 2015 and began touring until 2017, when she then decided to pursue her solo career. Embracing her vulnerability, she paves her way in her music through love, anxiety, relationships, and heartbreak. Her love of inspiring female artists, such as Dua Lipa, RAYE, and Demi Lovato can be felt in all elements of her music.
