Madeleine Bradford is a 19-year-old singer/songwriter based in Nashville, TN. Bradford distinguishes her sound with emotive vocals, ethereal harmonies, and dynamic instrumentation by producer Chris Cron.
In May 2022, Bradford released her debut EP Songs About Me, an alternative folk project exploring the concept of home. The songs are reflective, gently sung, and descriptive of Bradford's experiences with mental health, isolation, and healing.
Bradford shifted to alternative rock in her latest album All I Had To Do, released April 2023. Each song represents a stage in the grieving process. Building on the soft, airy vocals featured in Songs About Me, All I Had To Do showcases powerful and intense vocal performances. “Chemical Lies,” the first single, is an upbeat track brimming with 90s nostalgia. To Bradford, “Chemical Lies” “represents the feeling of being hurt by people, and how frustrating it can be to realize that everyone else seems oblivious to their faults.” Bradford’s feelings are palpable in the second single, “I Don’t Even Like You.” Bradford's goal was to express anger as an emotion, something that all people experience but not all comfortably discuss. For Bradford, "it’s often best for those who’ve wronged you to remove themselves from your life." The third single, “Don’t Blame Me,” is a tender ode to the artistic process. It speaks for Bradford’s inner need to write about things to fully heal from them.
