Welsh songwriting duo, Waterfront first emerged onto the UK music scene in 1988 when they were signed to Polydor (UK) and Polygram worldwide.
Their biggest hit “Cry” landed them a US Billboard top ten hit in 1989 and an AC #1. It was also a top ten hit in the UK following an appearance on TOTP.
In 1990, they were awarded the Broadcast Music Industry of America Award for the song “Cry” which was one of the top five most played songs on American radio.
In 2011, guitarist Phil Cilia & vocalist Chris Duffy decided to write and release what turned out to be their last album, “Ghosts of the Good.” Critically well-received, the slick collection of Americana-influenced songs saw Waterfront re-invent themselves as versatile songwriting journeymen.
