Inequality growing globally: We live in a world where 4 % of the
population own 95% of all the assets.
Today, over 735 million people live
in extreme poverty, on less than $1.90 a day.
But extreme poverty isn’t just about economic hardship and lack of opportunity. It also leads to malnutrition, chronic illness, disease,
violence and abuse.
The political, cultural, and economic polarization has been widening, not
narrowing, for decades. Inequality is a chain that binds at both ends.
WE CAN’T STAND THAT THIS IS OUR REALITY!
Every year, 85,700 children under 15 dies from diarrhea linked to
unsafe water.
Globally, 2.2 billion people lack access to safe drinking water.
DO YOU THINK THAT’S REASONABLE?
Devastatingly pervasive: 1 in 3 women globally experience violence
Younger women among those most at risk. The rates of depression,
anxiety disorders, unplanned pregnancies, sexually transmitted
infections and HIV are higher in women who have experienced violence
compared to women who have not.
WE CAN’T STAND THAT THIS IS OUR REALITY!
The life we lived did not follow our ideological notions of what is
important. The struggle to stand up for what we believed in was lost in
the pursuit of personal success.
Today's political environment is a farce and the leaders’ rule without
compassion. It has reached that point where we no longer can stay
silent.
ARE YOU CRAZY ENOUGH TO BELIEVE THAT WE CAN CHANGE THE
WORLD?!
