MAIGUY is the stage name of 21-year-old artist and producer Will Maiga, an emerging force in the Alternative R&B scene. Born and raised in Oklahoma City, Maiguy combines soulful grooves, live instrumentation, and modern production into a sound that’s both emotionally rich and sonically fresh. Despite his songs being largely solemn and introspective, he’s never felt the need to take himself too seriously. His sense of humor and love for comedy often find their way into his visuals, lyrics, and live performances—bringing a lighthearted edge to even his most genuine work.
A student at the Academy of Contemporary Music at the University of Central Oklahoma, MAIGUY is also the founder and frontman of the jam band The Major Fifths.
Since picking up the bass and guitar in high school, then later recording demos using Logic Pro, he’s grown into a versatile producer, known for producing “NOSTALGIA.” by DYL. in 2022, and “OMW” and “Dreamin” by Appollonia in 2024.
Originally launching his solo career in 2019, Maiguy reintroduced himself with a new artistic vision in 2022. His debut EP, The Major Fifths Sessions, Vol. 1, marks the next chapter—highlighting his evolution as a songwriter, band leader, and storyteller.
