The Grammy nominated singer-songwriter Ajay Mathur formed the rock group 'Mainstreet' in 1980 and celebrated success in his European home of Switzerland and central Europe with Mainstreet in the 80s and 90s. Mainstreet released four studio albums, two "best of" albums and were featured on multiple compilation albums. Along with sold out tours across Europe, the group had an impressive four singles and two albums make it to the top 20 on the Swiss radio charts, enjoy airplay on various European radio stations, and month-long club power play in Tokyo's Hard Rock Cafe.
