Make Mama Proud is a duo formed by Daiana Azar and Guillermo Porro, multi-instrumentalists and producers from Buenos Aires, Argentina. After years of individual careers in the Argentine music scene, they came together with the desire to explore new sounds and creative approaches.
The project was born out of a sonic search that blends influences from trip hop, electronic music, rock, and pop. In April 2019, they released their debut album, No Hay Banda , which became a success on digital platforms.
They performed their album live in Buenos Aires with sold-out shows.
In 2021, Make Mama Proud relocated to the United States, where they began working on their second studio album while expanding their creative universe into the audiovisual world—collaborating on major trailer productions for Hollywood films, series, and video games.
In July 2025, now based in Nashville, Tennessee, they released PRESENTE CONTINUO , a powerful and dynamic work composed of eight tracks in Spanish, English, and instrumental format. The album fuses rock, electronic music, and a strong cinematic aesthetic.
Presente Continuo includes three music videos directed by French filmmaker Laurent Briet, known for his work with Beyoncé , Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Strokes , and Tori Amos
