Malaika is a Jamaican and Irish singer/
songwriter that grew up in Canada. Always having a love for music,
she played saxophone and piano growing
up but found her success modeling from
the early age of 17. She always wanted to
explore music in a deeper way, which led to
the release of her first single ‘low fruit’
in 2018.
Since then she has been in the studio
finding her style as an artist until she
was able to find her sound and release
something worth while. Malaika values
versatility, so she uses afro, dancehall,
pop, and rnb with her own added twist.
Music for her, has always been the way
she’s been able to navigate through her
own emotions. Her up and coming project is
dedicated to anyone who likes and needs to
connect emotionally to music when they
