Filipina Alt-R&B & Pop-R&B artist and "Bay Area Sweetheart," Mami Mia, is described as a "breath of fresh air" for the warmth & sweetness present in her music & persona. Mami Mia's musical journey began after her diagnosis with SLE Lupus, after which she swore she’d live her most fulfilled life. Since her start, she attended NYU’s ’18 Summer Songwriting program, was named "Most Likely to Write a Hit Song," by Beatstars '21. In '23, she received JHNY WZDM’s “222 Award,” as well as HRDRV’s “People’s Choice” Award '24. Celebrated for her "effortless" stage presence, she's performed around the US, most notably as an official South by Southwest (SxSW) Artist '24 and has opened for acts such as Jennaske & HBK's Dave Steezy.
Influenced by the infectious melodic sounds of the late '90s/early '00s, Mami is often compared to Gwen Stefani, Jhene Aiko, & Aaliyah. Her low-key, yet larger than life attitude shines with playful lyrics & melodies delivered by her tantalizing tone.
