Mantis Empire are a dark-horse in a ever-growing Indie-rock arena. With a sprinkle of Reggae and a dash of POP, are serving up a plethora of tasty sonic morsels.
In June 2018 the group released their debut album “Spread the Word” capturing Triple J host Nkechi Anele’s attention who featured album track “Tell me the truth” on Roots n All show. With that wind in their sails the band entered and won Passport to Airlie. Proceeding to play multiple high-spirited sets, showcasing a tightness and easy frivolity in no time had Airlie Beach Festival of Music goers captivated and wowed.
“...Shadows style guitar work and more than just a bit of Santana thrown in, this music made for some perfect festival vibes...”
