Manuel Borraz is a musician, pianist and composer, known for his international tours across China and Europe. As part of the Anlauf Duo, his performance of Spanish classical music sold out at the Shanghai Concert Hall. He has collaborated with acclaimed artists such as guitarist Fred Frith, Maikel Vistel, Kirk McDonald, Bobby Martinez, and Patrice Soletti, among others.
With three albums as a leader — We Need The Earth (Youkali Music), The Big Question (Errabal Jazz), and his latest, Perseverance — Manuel has carved out his distinctive voice in jazz. His two-piano project, presented at the Beflügelt Festival, explored improvisations over the works of Albéniz and Falla. He has also won prestigious competitions like the Veguellina de Órbigo and the V Residence of Jazz at Condeduque, performing at JAZZMADRID22.
In addition to his leadership, he is involved in projects as a co-leader and sideman, including Light Spectrum with the band Dual Reality, Get Out Of Your Way, Observe and Urban Mirage.
Manuel is also a composer for film and classical chamber music, continually on tour. His performances have graced notable stages such as the International Festival Shenzhen and Guangzhou, Kirsten Kiaers Museum, Copenhagen Konzertkirchen, Klang Basel, ZeitRäume, Attaca, and Mimiko Festivals.
