Manutsa is an Electro Folk Singer Songwriter: a mix of electronic and acoustic instruments that perfectly marry with original poems in Sicilian Language. Finalist of the Tenco Award, in the “best album in dialect in 2022” category, Manutsa pays homage to the role of women in society in each of its experimental projects and ti does it through one anthropological study of the sicilian language and its inflections dialect from east to west, making it a unique Sicilian language.
If on the one hand the search for one’s roots, for ancient sounds, for one’s own land constitute a increasingly incisive appeal, on the other hand electronic music exerts a powerful fascination, one “call” that Manutsa follows by importing new sounds into his own musical expression which draws inspiration from both international bands and from songwriting.
