Mar de Grises is reuniting after 12 years to play a couple of exclusive shows.
Mar de Grises were indisputably one of the most respected and influential Chilean acts in the European heavy metal scene, achieving many remarkable milestones such as being appointed as ambassadors of Chilean culture abroad.
Mar de Grises was part of the second or third generation of Chilean musicians. Impressively, they managed to break into the most demanding heavy metal market as a result of their original sound, always far from the Chilean music and media mainstream.
They released four albums with licenses and distribution agreements in over 35 countries across five continents, performing nearly 50 shows in Europe in the context of 4 tours, including exclusive concerts and renowned festivals, sharing the stage with well-established bands like Sólstafir, Saturnus, and Swallow the Sun, among others.
Their albums were acclaimed in magazines such as RockHard, Terrorizer, and MetalHammer.
They were once referred to as "The Jewel in the Heart of the Andes" highlighting their unique style (progressive post-doom?). Far from labels, their sound was always deep, intense, experimental and honest.
