Marcelle George, originally from Christchurch, is a New Zealand–born singer-songwriter based in the United States. After the 2011 earthquake, her family relocated to the U.S., a shift that would later infuse her music with themes of nostalgia, and perspective. A multifaceted artist who writes, performs, and produces all her work, Marcelle, rooted in indie folk, weaves intimate storytelling with soft, atmospheric soundscapes.

Her debut album, Born Young, marks a bold and heartfelt introduction to her artistry—a coming-of-age record that captures the authenticity, vulnerability, and nostalgia of growing up. Written and produced entirely by Marcelle, the album drifts between soft, lullaby-like pieces such as “Elm” and “Ladybug”, and more reflective, emotionally layered tracks like “Goosebumps”, “Jay”, and “I Barely Know”. Across the record, her distinctive vocals and naturistic lyricism create an immersive world that feels both deeply personal and universally familiar.
