Marco Vezzoso (https://marcovezzoso.com) is a jazz trumpet and bugle player born in Alba, Italy. He began studying classical trumpet at the age of 10 and obtained the State Diploma at the Turin Conservatory. Always passionate about jazz and improvisation, he has attended many masterclasses with great masters such as: Paolo Fresu, Dave Douglas and Wynton Marsalis. Since 2012, he has lived in France where he is a professor of jazz trumpet and coordinator of the jazz department at the Nice Regional Conservatory. He has released 10 albums as a leader and 6 with original music written by himself.
For over 25 years, he has performed on the most important stages of European and Asian festivals as a leader, sideman, arranger, director of big bands, director of various ensembles between jazz and classical music. He has toured extensively in China, Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, France, Norway, the Czech Republic, Romania, India, Turkey and Italy. He also collaborates with the Italian national channel RAI in creating music for advertising and cinema.
