Brought up in the small town of Belton, South Carolina, Margaret Haynie’s roots run deep in the red dirt of the Southeast, where she was raised to love Jesus, family, and ice cold beer. This up and coming Nashville recording artist contributes her sound to the wide catalog of music she’s listened to her whole life-- with artists ranging from Alison Krauss and Carole King, to the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jack Johnson, CCR, the Doobie Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd-- as well as her extensive repertoire of vocal training ranging from choral, to a capella, bluegrass, and opera.
After graduating from Clemson University in 2019, Margaret made the move to Nashville to pursue her love of music. In June of 2021, she released her debut single, Girl Before the Girlfriend, and dove headfirst into the music business as an artist and songwriter. Margaret is excited to keep creating music she believes in and can’t wait to see what the future holds!
