Rachel LaRen is a rising independent country artist blending grit and glam in a style she calls “Whimsical Western.” A native of Gun Barrel City, Texas, she grew up between lakefront mansions and crumbling trailer parks—an unlikely mix that shaped her honest, dual-sided storytelling. Inspired by bold women like Miranda Lambert and Kacey Musgraves, she found her voice in choir, theater, and beauty pageants before falling for Texas’ Red Dirt country scene.

LaRen moved to Nashville in 2019, just in time for the world to shut down. But instead of stalling, she built her own lane, crafting vivid songs that blend classic country twang with sharp, modern lyricism. Her 2022 breakout single “John Wayne” has earned over 2 million streams, followed by her debut EP Cowboys Don’t Change and now her sophomore project Small Town Beauty Queen—a shimmering, scrappy collection produced by Grammy nominated Brad Hill.

With 5 million+ global streams, 2M+ social views, and praise from Whiskey Riff, Country Central, and Raised Rowdy, LaRen’s fanbase is growing fast. She’s toured with Josh Abbott Band, Kat Hasty, and more, and was named an artist to watch by BMI Buzz and UPstar. A little glam, a little wild—and all heart—Rachel LaRen is just getting started.
