Mariangela Demurtas

Mariangela "Mary" Demurtas ( Ozieri , 4 of November of 1981 ) is an Italian singer, lead singer of the Norwegian band of gothic metal Tristania and Italian alternative gothic rock band Ardours

Born in Ozieri , Sardinia , but raised in Bitti - an Italian commune in the province of Nuoro , in the region of Sardinia.
Mariangela Demurtas , since she was a child, took part in musical competitions in her native country and, from her young age, in Italian metal bands - namely, for example: " Reel Fiction " -
Her recognition at a global level came later, more specifically on 19 October of 2007, when she was officially announced as the new singer of Tristania (hired to replace the opera singer Vibeke Stene).

Mariangela Demurtas released two albums with Tristania : Rubicon (2008) and Darkest White (2013) both on Napalm Records. She tours worldwide since May 2008 , sharing important stages with other known and acclaimed artists of the metal scene.
In 2019, she launches her new project, the band Ardours, in collaboration with multi instrumentalist Kris Laurent (Cadaveria) releasing their debut album "Last Place on Earth" on Frontiers Records SRL.
Another EP" EU4RIA" has been released in February 2020 on Frontiers Records SRL
Mariangela is back with her solo project in 2022, the release of her brand new Ep "Dark Ability" is expected for January 2022!
