Maribel Tafur is an award-winning Peruvian composer, multi-instrumentalist, producer and DJ based in Spain. Her music fuses ambient, downtempo, experimental and her classical piano training. Her sound is characterized by immersive atmospheres, hypnotic textures, warm melodies and field recording manipulation, inspired by nature, Latin American folklore and her childhood.
She has released LPs, EPs and various original tracks/remixes for labels such as Sound Earth Legacy, Delicieuse Musique, New Latam Beats, Random Collective and Matraca. In 2024 she won the Golden A' Design Award in Music, Audio & Sound Design. In 2022 she released Mater Soundscapes of Peru in synergy with chef Virgilio Martínez and research center Mater Iniciativa, an album inspired by Peru's ecosystems and biodiversity.

Founder of the music design and audio branding company Intune with which she has developed remarkable projects including the original music of the gastronomic experiences of chefs Virgilio Martínez and Pía León: Central, Mil, Kjolle, Olluco, Maz, Mauka, Estero, Mayo.
