Mariyo Deon is a native of Knoxville, TN and has been mastering his craft since the age of 12. After moving to Nashville (Music City) to pursue a career in the music industry, he studied special education at Belmont University which led to a career in teaching. The Best of Nashville 2021 “BEST RAPPER/HIP HOP act” artist now teaches songwriting for the Academy of Entertainment Industry at Pearl-Cohn Entertainment High School. His day to day work focuses on empowering the next generation of songwriters. Mariyo Deon has not released an album since 2017, but his charisma and ability to collaborate with insiders alike has kept him relevant across the state of Tennessee.
