Mark is a British composer and multi instrumentalist born in Stoke Newington, London, writing predominantly in the classical genre. He studied composition at the London College of Music under composers John McCabe and Dr Lloyd-Webber. In the 80’s and 90’s Mark was a well sort after Saxophone and clarinet session player performing at gigs and recording in studios across the UK. Another chapter of his life for a time saw him as a well respected jazz pianist and vocalist on the club circuit,

As a composer Mark has always been fairly prolific but rarely has his work been recorded or released. One of his un recorded works includes his ‘Clarinet Concerto’ performed once at St James’ Piccadilly.

In 2017 he was diagnosed with progressive MS which looked likely to cut short his career. But with much resilience and determination he began to write more and more. Some of his works to be recorded and released in the future include his ‘Song Cycle for Soprano and Piano’ based on 5 Poems by Lewis Carol and his solo piano album for Four Hands due for release in 2025. The first single from his debut Piano album is ‘Utopia’ with piano by Daniel D’Mello Goodwin which looks at a fabled but ultimately hopeful world free of pain and strife where the whole world lives in peace.
