Marleen

Estonian-born, UK-based singer-songwriter Marleen has a soulful style combining pop, R&B and jazz. She is heavily influenced by artists who have their own unique sound, such as Tom Misch, Jorja Smith and Lianne La Havas. In her music she is bold, honest and covers topics such as mental health, love and the struggles we all as humans face in some form.
Marleen grew up in the beautifully miniature Estonia, but always dreamed of making a name for herself abroad. As long as she can remember she has taken part in singing competitions and music programmes and as a teenager started writing her own music as a form of expression. She received a scholarship to attend the Berklee College of Music in Boston, US, but after careful consideration decided upon attending the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford, UK, which she recently graduated with First Class Honours.
Marleen recently self-released her second EP called “Inhale” along with singles "Blue September" and "Not Alone". For this EP she has further developed her distinctive sound, where there is not a shortage of colourful chord progressions and memorable top-line melodies. For the single "Blue September" she shared her first music video which encapsulates the vibe of the song through aesthetically pleasing visuals and choreographed movements. Marleen has many goals and dreams within the music industry that she is keen on pursuing.
