Marsupial Lion is the musical channel of songwriter/sonic tinkerer Travis Jonathan. His debut album, Juvenilia, was an effort to fuse his love of shiny synth-pop with grimy psych rock, while exploring lyrical themes of personal change alongside technological and cultural malaise. It was also a deeply collaborative work with his near-lifelong friend (and wizard on the synths) <a href="spotify:artist:3iHGDltHOTAyxaGJ3S8gNA" data-name="Parker Tichko">Parker Tichko</a> that celebrated more than a decade of co-creation — a collaboration which continues to this day.
