Mashaya

Mashaya is a South African music producer and DJ, widely known for his electrifying YouTube and TikTok mixes. He is the creative force behind hits such as Asijabule, Amoureuse, Reste Toi, and his current chart favourite Buyisa. His music promotes unity and togetherness, connecting people through the infectious energy of Amapiano and other South African sounds.

Born in Robertson in the Cape Winelands, Mashaya moved to Cape Town in 2018 after high school to pursue his music career. Since then, he has become a recognisable brand in the city, cementing his name as one of the most promising upcoming acts in the Amapiano spectrum.

He is also the head of the Piano Ekapa movement — an initiative aimed at raising awareness of Amapiano in Cape Town while creating platforms for local DJs to showcase their artistry. Through performances at his major events such as The Social Link-Up DayTime Groove, Chasing Sunsets, Goodtimes Fest, and Summer Buddies, Mashaya has built a strong presence across the Western Cape.
