Matt is a singer/songwriter, film-maker and a public school guest teaching artist based in Portland, Oregon. As a member of the Queer community and global social justice movement, he spends most of his days attempting to cultivate empathy and inter-personal understanding in the world through music & film between tours. Matt's current film project is a documentary series shining a light on young artists in the Queer community called "Queer As *Fundamental" (aka Queer AF*). Season One is streaming freely at www.queeraf.tv. Matt is also a teaching artist in public schools as a member of the "Youth Equity Stewardship" team (aka YES!) which seeks to cultivate a spirit of inclusion and care within school communities across America.
