A quartet of instrumentalists and vocalists, Sons of Serendip consist of lead vocalist Micah Christian, harpist Mason Morton, cellist/second vocalist Kendall Ramseur, and guitarist/pianist Cordaro Rodriguez. Natives of Massachusetts, Georgia, and North Carolina, they met at Boston University, where they formed, and they gained national attention in 2014 when they competed on America's Got Talent during the competition's ninth season. Reinventions of songs such as Chris Isaak's "Wicked Game," Duran Duran's "Ordinary World," and Evanescence's "Bring Me to Life" gave them a fourth-place finish. In early 2015, they released their eponymous studio album, Sons of Serendip, which combined new versions of their America's Got Talent favorites with similarly traditional pop-oriented covers. On the heels of their debut, they delivered the holiday-themed Christmas: Beyond the Lights. They returned in 2017 with their third studio album, Life + Love, featuring covers of songs by Stevie Wonder, Adele, the Weeknd, and others. ~ Andy Kellman, Rovi
