Matt N Flo

Indonesian musicians Matthew Chrisnando and Stefanie Floriana combine to form Matt n Flo , an Instrumental Progressive Rock group with a focus on fast paced, drum-focused musical passages. Influenced by the works of Dream Theatre, Caseopia, and Rush, the teenage duo has made a name for themselves by using only one drum kit and one double-pedal bass drum, which they play together at the same time.


Matthew and Stefanie first crossed paths in 2016 while participating in a drum competition, but only started working together in 2018.
Encouraged by the positive reception, Matt n Flo released their first official single “ Take Off ” on the 21st of November, 2019, inspired by a time they were waiting for their plane to take off. The track was written by Matthew and Stefanie alongside their producer Kenan Loui, and features lead guitar work by @Yankjay, one of Indonesia’s most well-renowned guitarists.


Individually, 18-year old Matthew Chrisnando hails from the city of Semarang and specializes in funk fusion music. Stefanie Floriana, who is 17, is a native of Jakarta and has a musical background in rock. The duo hopes that their songs will inspire young musicians - and especially drummers - around the world to follow their dreams.
