Matthew Jared

Matthew Jared is a singer-songwriter, and performance artist based in Los Angeles, California. Growing up playing musical instruments such as saxophone, clarinet and guitar, his ear for music developed at a young age. His vocal style is heavily influenced by Contemporary, Jazz, Gospel, Country, Hip-Hop, Pop, and especially Soul. Some of the artists/musicians he admires are Frank Ocean, H.E.R., Stevie Wonder, Musiq Soulchild, Brandy, Robert Glasper, and Anderson Paak to name a few. Matthew has had the opportunity to perform around the southern east coast, southern California and, internationally, in Japan.


His song “Wake Up” which talks about “the morning after” made waves with his supporters in the Lifetime movie “Obsessed with the babysitter” and continues to be well-received. The music video is now available on Youtube!

His new 2021 single “Song About You” takes us back to a simpler time with that vintage soul sound we know and love. This song is featured in the new summer thriller “Twice Bitten” airing on BET.
