Singer-songwriter from Glasgow, Scotland. Music born from various influences including <a href="spotify:artist:2xaAOVImG2O6lURwqperlD" data-name="Catfish and the Bottlemen">Catfish and the Bottlemen</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1km0R7wy712AzLkA1WjKET" data-name="Biffy Clyro">Biffy Clyro</a> , <a href="spotify:artist:4YLtscXsxbVgi031ovDDdh" data-name="Chris Stapleton">Chris Stapleton</a>, <a href="spotify:album:2aV3gQ8recdvTivyl8EFiO" data-name="The Marcus King Band">The Marcus King Band</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:7CIW23FQUXPc1zebnO1TDG" data-name="Matt Corby">Matt Corby</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:0hEurMDQu99nJRq8pTxO14" data-name="John Mayer">John Mayer</a>.
Matthew released his first track 'Healing' back in 2017 which was shortly followed by the song 'Lighthouse Rescue'. Primarily gigging and performing in Glasgow, Matthew has played at venues including multiple gigs at King Tuts Wah Wah Hut, and Buff Club which included supporting <a href="spotify:artist:6LxMQzBj6CW5RZ2R0M8EDG" data-name="InAir">InAir</a> on their UK tour.
After taking some time away from the studio to perfect his sound and write new material, the beginning of 2020 saw Matthew support <a href="spotify:artist:7LDe3yXL1AJJ2VLM9trO74" data-name="The DRIIVE">The DRIIVE</a> at the Garage Attic in Glasgow, and following on from this the single 'I Don't Know' was released. The song was premiered by Originalrock and following on from this gained 'heavy rotation' on the well known 'IDOBI RADIO' station. Since this release Matthew has been artist of the day on 'Maximum Volume' and has been featured by, 'little dose of indie', 'Indie is not a genre', 'Music talks' and 'That buzzing sound'.
Since 2019 Matthew has spent a huge amount of time listening to country music and seeing <a href="spotify:artist:4YLtscXsxbVgi031ovDDdh" data-name="Chris Stapleton">Chris Stapleton</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:0FeWKiZSwBRdGzqeCdlH1a" data-name="Marcus King">Marcus King</a> play in Glasgow inspired Matthew to incorporate some of the features of this genre into his own music and from this, the latest single 'Nowhere to Go' was born.
