I’m Mattisix a blend of my name, Matteo, and the six strings that shaped everything I do.
The guitar has always been my anchor, even as I stepped fully into electronic music. I perform 100% live: no playback, no presets, no safety net. Just machines, pedals, and instruments speaking to each other in real time. Every set is built from scratch, played, shaped, and felt on the spot.
My sound moves between techno, ambient textures, and melodic tension. Sometimes deep and driving, sometimes slow and fragile. I call it live emotional techno.
I also co-create BASE ROSE, a full live duo with a Belgian poet who performs under the same name. It’s more than a collaboration it’s a voice we’ve invented together.
In BASE ROSE, poetry and techno become one language: she brings raw spoken word; I weave live soundscapes with machines, guitar, and rhythm. Every performance is improvised, no playback, no script, only presence. It’s fragile, intense, and alive. Sometimes it dances. Sometimes it breaks. But it always speaks to something true.
BASE ROSE is poetry with distortion. Techno with a heartbeat. A shared way of being on stage.And at the core of both projects, one thing remains: This isn’t just sound, it’s freedom.
