Fueled by my passion behind the idea of mindfulness, individuality and self expression, I have come to fall in love with the creation process known as songwriting. From conceptualizing an idea for a song, to finding two words that just fit together, the process of songwriting has become more than putting words on a page.
From start to finish, the entire process of songwriting has become a very personal, intimate, solitary, but satisfying journey for me. Every time I start a new project or song, I come out of it knowing more about myself than I did before. Thus, each song becomes its own universe and contains its own ecosystem with fractals and particles of me, my soul, my experiences, people I’ve met, and aspects of my heart. It is this perpetual and cyclical notion of self-teaching and learning that I have fallen in love with and have come accustomed to. For me, the destination has become the process of creation from each present moment to the next, and that is how I know I’ve not only found my passion, but my true purpose.
