Maui Ski Club

Experimental pop group Maui Ski Club was formed after Sir Yacht (Joey Kinsley) called former AAU basketball teammate Zach Scott one night and wanted to make a song called "Maui Ski Club”, due to the comically ironic nature of not being able to ski there. Instead, a band was named that next day and Johnny Kinsley completed the trio.

Known for being a TikTok content creator, Sir Yacht produces the music alongside his bandmates, now having 4 vocalists after adding multi-instrumentalist Danny O (Danny O’Callaghan) in 2020. The quartet embraces all their real life stories and fuses them into their lyrical, compositional, and music video inspiration.

Their debut label single "No One Feels Bad for You" released in November 2020 is a punk-pop anthem about calling out bullies who victimize themselves. "Bottle Opener" was released in April 2021, which is more of a funky, bass driven pop tune about having a good time no matter the circumstances. Originally a viral TikTok video, "Suburban Cowboy Anthem" is a country trap-pop song taking jabs at people from the suburbs who want to be country (like Maui Ski Club), and dropped on September 10th, 2021.
