London based musician Max William has spent well over a decade touring the world with bands and artists such as Stormzy, SG Lewis and Bloc Party to name only a few. It wasn’t until the recent break in live music that Max seized the opportunity to focus on his own sound. As a result, his debut EP ‘Resilience’ comes out in February 2022 and showcases his wide variety of influences and inspiration from both life on the road and the stillness of lockdown.
As a DJ he started his journey playing Drum & Bass; his first love and a sound which will always influence the music he makes. As different tempos and styles started cropping up in his DJ sets he found himself playing a wider variety of venues and festivals, whilst bringing new arrangements into his productions. A huge appreciation for disco reaffirmed his desire for rich harmony with simple rhythm and led to one of the first ever residencies at Phonox and later a residency at The Jazz Cafe in Camden. With Glastonbury Festival as the pinnacle of every year he found an ever-growing love for all things house, techno and anything pushing the boundaries of electronic music.
