When the music ends, the conversation starts.
Patrick Buzo believes conversation is key to solving the mysteries of life. Through Maze to Eden Patrick tries to start conversations about hidden issues, subjects so inflammatory that they'd ruin a dinner with close friends.
The music is complex, just like the subjects at hand. The songs are long, just like the conversations they encourage.
Maze to Eden evolves just like Patrick, just like life.
Exonerate is Maze to Eden's first attempt at creating something bigger than 'just a song'. The piece consists of six parts which describe the life of a man once wrongly accused of a crime. The piece explores this man's different stages in life and finally asks the question whether capital punishment and revenge can exist in a world where nothing can be certain.
