Mbé, palavra que vem do yorubá e significa “ser e existir”, é a persona do artista, pesquisador, produtor e engenheiro de som carioca, Luan Correia. Seu projeto parte de uma pesquisa por fósseis tecnológicos, utilizados como ferramentas de comunicação com o objetivo de construir um presente-futuro. Em “ROCINHA”, seu primeiro disco, o trabalho é uma decodificação sonora de experiências vividas, lidas e ouvidas à margem da Zona Sul carioca. Mbé vê no experimentalismo uma oportunidade e uma necessidade de ressignificar a vivência preta a partir da arte, e não da marginalização, propondo um novo olhar para essas experiências.

Mbé, word that comes from Yoruba and means “to be and to exist”, is the persona of the artist, researcher, producer, musical and sound engineer from Rio, Luan Correia. His project is based on a search for technological fossils, which are used as communication tools in order to build a present-future. In "ROCINHA", his first album, the work is a sound decoding of experiences lived, read and heard on the margins of Rio’s South Zone. Mbé believes experimentalism is an opportunity and a need to re-signify the black experience based on art, and not marginalization, proposing a new look at these experiences.
