M.B.O

IMbondwane, better known by their stage name, M.B.O is a 4 musical group of artists which consists of songwriters, rappers, singers and a producer. The group was formed in KZN Newcastle, Madadeni Section 1, where the individuals discovered they have gifted different crafts which they fused and came up with a new genre referred to as, UMDABU (nativity).
The group was originally composed by hip-hop, afro-pop artists namely, Xolani Buthelezi, Andile Nene, Fundi Nkosi, Simphiwe Mahlaba, founded in the year 2012.

After the individuals combined paths at The 034 Movement group in the year 2020, time came when they decided to exit the group on the year 2022 as they felt the group was suppressing their craft and they continued with the genre ‘Umdabu’ as they gave birth to it. That’s when their audience grew and their music sounded magnificent and magical as ever. The group released their first E.P project through Audiomack platform titled ‘Tsaba Di Ngwenya’ which miraculously did perfect in numbers, rising to 10k streams within 11 months of release. The group released their second project titled ‘iindaba Zothando’ on Audiomack as well as they were planning to release a mixtape after that project.

The mixtape ‘Uk’bona Kanye Uk’bona Kabili’ was their first release through all major platforms as it did well regarding it was their 1st release across digital platforms. The mixtape is still available online. More music otw.
