Woes, native to Southern California, began hitting open mics and M.C. battles with his inventive freestyle over two decades ago. As a solo artist, Woes would frequent LA's chapter of the world-renowned drum and bass/hip hop club Koncrete Jungle, (run by Alphapup's Daddy Kev) where he would often perform alongside LA legends Myka 9, Busdriver, DJ R.A.W. and graffiti artist Mear One. He also began performing solo sets, frequently opening for some of LA's most iconic underground Hip Hop acts such as Aceyalone, Medusa, Lyrics Born, Dead Prez and The Toledo Show, among others. Woes' quick tongue chopping freestyle caught the attention of music lovers around the globe. Having held residencies at LA's Dub Club, Urban Underground, I Love LA, Break Beat BBBQ, Upgrade Drum & Bass, Abstract Rude's Flow and Tell (FAT) as well as Mood Pieces Monthly. Woes has become a staple in the Los Angeles Hip Hop as well as Bass Music Communities.
