Golden Country (July 2021) is a concept album narrating the journey to freedom from depression with help from faith and loved ones. The name Golden Country comes from George Orwell’s novel, 1984. In 1984, Winston, Orwell’s main character, strives to find freedom from an oppressive force at a place called Golden Country.
Golden Country in this album’s context is not a place, but a state of mind. Depression doesn’t deserve to have a grip on anyone. The goal of this album is to provide hope with those struggling through a narrative with lyrical ties to nature and beautiful scenery.
