Hi I’m Mëi. I’m an an angelic doom pop artist - I write songs about the stuff I don’t get to speak about out loud. It’s sometimes pretty, sometimes jarring, but it’s always an expression of what is in my mind. I chase whatever mood feels right. Every track is a different confession.

If ur new here, I used to be a lofi hip-hop artist back in 2016-19. The time when 24/7 lofi hip-hop radio became uber-trendy and thus I had a good run of it. Went to this church once (out of despair, I don’t usually go to church), and bumped into people who'd been listening to @Coexist and @Hydration apparently on repeat. Made my head spin! Released those songs under College Music. Did ok until I fell off the face of the earth, simply because I’m a sulky musician who thought changing my name 100+ times would make me famous (it didn’t).

I came up with a pretty sick name: Crysalice, which I began to release some music under. But before that I went with the name Ida Vallens (omg so embarrassed by this one). But I still managed to play some shows supporting Rag’n’Bone Man and Clean Bandit. See? There is a glimmer of hope for those suffering with chronically-online saddo syndrome! I’m back, with 20 unreleased toons. These days I make more weird stuff. Still, keeping in theme, I’ll be gradually pouring out a back catalogue of some steamy bedroom bangers. It’s still cringe tho.
