Melancholic Thoughts is a musical project created by Florent Caspi-Torrent in 2018. Its main influences are rock (Muse, Keane, Dream Theater...) & classical/movie music (Chopin, Rachmaninov, John Williams...).
A 1st eponymous EP was released in 2018 after a successful crowdfunding campaign and a release party in Paris.
Starting from 2024, Florent posted a serie of 28 introspective improvisations on Melancholic Thoughts' social networks, with a luminous atmosphere. His aim was to musically and visually depict his emotions during the past few years.
The 2nd EP Harmony is out since June 13 2025. It includes a music video on the self-titled single Harmony, shot in the Rambouillet forest near Paris.
